Graduation Requirements
Cosmetology Operator:
Complete the prescribed 1500 hour course in a satisfactory manner. Pass both Practical and Written Exams.
Cosmetology Instructor:
Complete the prescribe 750 hour course in a satisfactory manner. Pass both Practical and Written Exams.
Cosmetology Facial Specialist:
Complete the prescribed 750 hour course in a satisfactory manner. Pass both the Practical and Written Exams.
Cosmetology Manicure License:
Complete the prescribed 600 hour course. Pass both the Practical and Written Exams.
For All Courses, Students must meet all Financial Obligations to the institution prior to Graduation. Please note that if you complete the prescribed course but still have financial obligations to the institution, your hours will be reported to T.D.L.R. but will show tuition not tendered. This will result in your hours not being valid until such time as all tuition and fees have been tendered. As per the T.D.L.R. Refund Policy, once you have completed 751 scheduled hours you owe the full amount of tuition and required fees to the institution, whether you complete your course or not. Note: Scheduled hours may be greater than actual clock hours for those who fail to attend classes as scheduled.
Careers
Cosmetology Operators: Licensed to work in salons or own your own business. May perform all services under your license in a licensed salon. Hair Cutting and tyling, Chemically Wave or Straighten Hair, Perform Scalp and Facial Treatments. Perform HIghlights/Lowlights/Color Applications. Style Hair Pieces and Wigs. Perform Pedicures and Manicures.
Cosmetology Instructors: Licensed to work in both Public and Private Schools, or you may own your own school.
Facial and Manicure Specialists: May perform only those services that fall under their respective specialty license.
It is illegal to work without a license or work in an unlicensed salon.

Misrepresentation See Consumer Information Page: Please note we will not tell you how to answer any questions when applying for financial assistance. We will give you the respective web addresses that apply to you, and you will be required to complete said applications away from the institutions and then return the completed documentation to the school. For those with limited or no access to a computer, you may complete a paper application and submit to your respective financial aid office for the campus you wish to attend. Remember, you must answer all questions truthfully and honestly as they apply to you. Submitting false information for the purpose of qualifying for financial aid assistance is a federal offense and punishable by law with fines and possible prison terms.

Please note that with an average of 130 to 150 students per year attending our two campus locations, less than 30 receive student loans (on average each award year). So if you see a default rate that seems higher than other institutions, please note that it only takes one or two individuals to default on their student loan resulting in a high default percentage for the institution. Further, of the less than 30 who participate in the student loan program, the average loan debt is $5,000.00.
